Uniworld River Cruise in Bordeaux, France, with Pam, June 2021
Join Pam from June 6-13, 2021 in beautiful Bordeaux, France! Aboard Uniworld’s luxurious S.S. Bon Voyage, we’ll spend a week traveling along three rivers in the French countryside: the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde. At each stop, we’ll enjoy new and quintessentially French experiences, from tasting wine, sampling incredible cuisine and exploring medieval architecture to riding bicycles through vineyards and shopping at farmer’s markets with the locals. Magnifique!
Starting in the port city of Bordeaux, we’ll set sail for charming Bourg sur Gironde in Blaye. We’ll explore the quaint streets on a walking tour, and then opt for either a scenic drive or a yoga class (set in a 17th-century fortress!). Next, we head for Cussac Fort Médoc, choosing between a wine tasting, an archeology tour or a bicycle ride among vineyards. Then it’s a full day in Libourne, soaking up majestic landscapes on a walking a tour—capped off with a wine tasting at a château
We wrap up back in Bordeaux with a full day in the port of Quai des Chartrons, where the architecture is impressive, the wine is exquisite and the shopping is to die for! We’ll pay a visit to La Cité du Vin museum, where the heritage of wine comes to life, and then see more on a walking tour or cycling tour.
